For us, food was our biggest concern for our wedding. Everything else was a distant second in terms of importance. We wanted THE BEST food and we were willing to pay for it. Because of the extra importance we spoke with 10 different caterers and did 4 different tastings. Needless to say we gained a wealth of experience and knowledge when it comes to caterers in the Boston area. East Meets West exceeded all the others with the quality of their food. In addition, the price was very reasonable! We loved working with them. Our manager for the night, Phil, was fantastic. If you want the best food for your wedding, food people will be talking about for a long time, then look no further.

We were very impressed by the experience and expertise of our East Meets West Event Planner. He was knowledgable and helpful about every aspect of wedding planning, and had an excellent command of detail. Our guests commented on both the quality of the food and the professionalism and pleasant, helpful attitude of the staff.

My wedding was at a private residence in Cape Cod. It was the most beautiful wedding I had ever seen (if I do say so myself!) but a lot of the responsibilities were on my shoulders since we did not have a facilities wedding manager. Frank M. from East Meets West and his staff was more than my husband and I could ever hope for in a caterer. He was not only totally on top of our menu, he was coordinating decor, working seamlessly with my florist, and day of coordinator. Frank was the most responsive person I have ever worked with - EVER. This includes my professional life in an Investment Bank! His attention to detail is amazing and my husband and I always felt like we were in good hands.
When we were deciding on which caterer to go to, we booked about 5 meetings in two days. We had booked EMW first and the rest just could not match up to that standard. I am Korean and we had a Korean station at the wedding. My family, who came in from Korea and other places, thought the Korean food was delicious and I believe that was the most popular food station.
Honestly, I can't tell you how fond we are of Frank and EMW and will unconditionally recommend it to anyone. There are cheaper places out there, but I firmly believe that on a per hour/per detail/per easy to work with basis, we got a great deal.
All I can say is that on the day of the wedding, I wasn't aware of any issues...and to me, the mark of a great caterer is to keep all the "issues" hidden and away from view, especially from us! We were, unfortunately, way too busy to eat from all of the stations, but we continue to hear great things about the food, 3 months later, especially the appetizers.

I found EMW to be more than helpful. They responded in a timely fashion to all my inquiries, and managed to create an innovative and delicious menu that worked with our budget. We used them to cater two weddings and although they brought the same level of professionalism to both weddings, the feel of each wedding was unique to to the bride and reflected the personality of both the bride and the venue. i highly recommend !!

I worked with Phil Surette, and he was amazing. He had great ideas, listened to mine, and was extremely easy to work with. My whole family thought he was wonderful. Also, the food and service that East Meets West provided was terrific! I loved working with them, and would hire them again in a second. I have been recommending them to everyone I know.

Our coordinator, Mary Schlaff, was absolutely fantastic. Along with services provided by East Meets West, she recommended and coordinated all the remaining services, Tents, Music, Florist, Table settings, etc. She not only listened but she heard everything we wanted and her delivery on June 27th far exceeded our greatest expectations.

EMW,
Thank you for making our family celebration such a wonderful and easy event (for us). We were so pleased with everything--the unique details, the professional service and the beautiful food! It was a perfect evening! I credit you with the good advice about location because I consulted with you first months ago about where to have the reception! We have received so many complimentary emails and cards since the wedding and I feel kind of guilty because you folk are the ones that really made it happen but you let me have the spotlight on my special day! We have also had a few inquires about 'who the caterer" was, so we hope that translates in some extra business. We would completely recommend your services to anyone intersted in making their visions of a perfect wedding come true!
WE very much appreciate allt he hard work that went into the event!

We could not have been more happy with East Meets West's Catering services and Frank, our Event Coordinator. Frank handled all aspects of our wedding, including food choice, linens and table/chair rentals, with a unique professionalism and a level of experience that we hadn't felt with the other caterers we were considering. Their wait and bar staff was polite and extremely professional and the food exceeded our expectations. Their creative approach to food prep and wedding planning made our wedding day so unique and absolutely perfect!

First and foremost, the most important factor for a caterer is the food, and it was incredible. Every single one of our guests thought that their dinner was delicious; they said that it was as good as going to a good restaurant in Boston or New York. The woman with whom we worked, Beth, was very pleasant and easy to work with. However, the family dynamic was explained, especially the need to keep the couple involved with the planning; yet, there was no communication from the caterer (to the couple) for over six months, until two weeks before the wedding. (Instead, all decisions and communication was directed towards the bride's mother.)
The wait staff and bartenders were very efficient and unobtrusive, and extremely professional. The bride always had a waiter ensuring that she had everything she wanted.
Overall, East Meets West is very expensive. However, if you can afford it, the food is definitely worth it.

The quality of the wait staff and the food were beyond compare -- our guests were incredibly impressed with their attentiveness as well as how personable they were. The on-the-day experience was definitely outstanding. My only hesitation is that the attitude of our point person, Frank, was reprehensible (he would have hissy fits regarding special requests) to the point if we didn't have a wedding planner to deal with him he would have been fired -- which would have been a shame because we would have missed out on the exquisite experience with the rest of the company. So kudos to East Meets West, except for Frank. See if you can get another point person.
