I don't think I can say enough good about this venue. The wedding coordinator assigned to our wedding, Tiffini, was AMAZING! She took charge and made sure EVERYTHING that day ran smoothly and on time. She made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be and that we were on the right schedule and that we (bride and groom) always had everything we needed. I didn't have to worry or think about anything that day, I got to completely enjoy the day and have a great time. ALL the staff was very helpful and polite and very accommodating the whole night! There was no hidden prices and all the costs were told to us up front. The food was amazing and for the price it was a great value! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue!

I would give them 1000000000 stars if I could!!! Caryl was my coordinator and she was absolutely amazing and went completely above and beyond for me!!!! Our wedding was march 24 and at the end of our reception our shuttle we had hired never picked us up, caryl and the staff stayed late with us waiting with us and got us transportation to our hotel, and also offered to drive us themselves!!! I mean come on!! No other venue would do that!!!! The food is amazing, atmospheere is beautiful and everything about the night was magical!!! I LOVE them and if I have another event I need I will instantly be calling caryl!!!!

Black Swan was AMAZING..I would give them 10000 stars is possible...Caryl was our wedding coordinator and she went above and beyond to make our wedding day special....from the food, to the staff, the room, flexibility and responsiveness....everything was about and beyond our expecations....not one of our guests had anything bad to say about the entire night..everyone had an absolute blast and it was all due to the services of Caryl and her staff. I would recommend this place to anyone and I would certainly book again with them if I have another event in the future. We also used their uplighting, which gave the room a very different and more romantic look and made our pictures look even amazing with the lighting in the background....I certainly would recommend the uplighting.....Caryl was so accommodating...I was able to drop off all of my stuff a week ahead of time and I had made my centerpieces, and Caryl and her staff put them together the day of the wedding, which was amazing and a huge help! Thank you again to Caryl and the Black Swan staff for making our wedding day a day we will NEVER forget!!

My husband and I had our reception here on October 22, 2011. We, along with our guests, received first class treatment. The food was AMAZING!! So many of our guest complimented on how great everything was. The uplighting in the ballroom makes the setting of the reception that much more beautiful. The wedding coordinator as well as the waitstaff was so efficient. I didn't have to think of anything but having a good time and they took care of everything perfectly! We had our wedding reception at the Black Swan Country Club on October 15th 2011. The venue was simply beautiful on a windy fall day, perfect for all of the pictures we took on the grounds. The staff was so friendly and greeted all of our guests with smiles, making everyone feel welcome. We had so many compliments on the Andover room where our reception was held, and the way the sun set hit the dance floor as the night went on. There were so many gorgeous spots on the grounds of the golf course where we were able to get some unbelievable photos. The food was delicious, everyone loved the stuffed chicken and raved about the apple crisp dessert. Caryl Nansel the event manager was amazing, and so much fun to work with. She is so upbeat and makes you feel like your day is as special as it is. She took all of the ideas we had and made them a beautiful reality. I can't say enough about Caryl and the Black Swan. I would recommend this venue to all of my friends, I couldn't picture having my reception anywhere else. -Cheri

Our wedding at Black Swan Country Club was absolutely amazing! The service is top notch too! I remember when we were looking at different venues and the moment we entered the driveway to Black Swan, I knew it was the one. It was absolutely beautiful. They take such pride in the atmosphere from the moment you drive in. The coordinators, Carol and Donna, were amazing from start to finish. When planning a wedding you really need any help you can get, and they were extremely helpful. Even at the rehearsal Carol ran the show, and I couldn't have been more thankful. They are so organized and for as many weddings/functions that they do, they never miss a beat! The food is absolutely delicious as well. I will admit wedding food cooked in bulk can sometimes be lack luster, but we had soooo many of our guests talking about how gourmet everything tasted. Not to mention the choices we had to start with. I highly recommend Black Swan to any couple looking for the perfect place to get married. Even looking back now, I wouldn't have changed a thing!

We had the most amazing wedding at the Black Swan! From the moment we viewed the venue for our ceremoy and reception we knew it was perfect. Our coordinator was Caryl Nansel was outstanding. She was always available to answer our questions and was extremely helpful in helping us make decisions and plan the outline of our wedding. The day of the wedding she was always nearby and made sure we had what we needed and that everything was going as we planned. We arrived early and used the very large bridal suite to get dressed and start taking our pictures. Caryl met the photographer and videographer and made suggestions for our pictues which were perfect. Our guests are still raving about the food and how beautiful the venue was and the extremely large dance floor was perfect for all of our guests to be dancing all night. We had the most beautiful scenery for our pictures both during the outdoor ceremony and on the golf course and bridge. Caryl escorted our wedding party to the ceremony on golf carts and after my husband and I drove off on a golf cart, it was the best. Caryl took care of everything! Our wedding totally exceeded our expectations. We had the most amazing day!

My husband & I looked a at few places before making an appointment with The Black Swan, we both knew as soon as we walked in the venue..this is where we want to have our wedding. It had exactly what we were looking for..great dance floor, access to the outside balcony, could accomodate the amount of guests we had, BEAUTIFUL golf course! So we booked the venue, everyone was great but we had no idea the exceptional service we were about to receive. We worked mainly with Caryl and I can't even begin to tell you how awesome she is..every question I had..and I had some REALLY weird crazy questions (which I'm sure all brides have!), were answered the same day and ALWAYS with a great attitude and smile! My mom went to the venue after we booked just to "check out" everything, while peeking in the windows she was greeted by one of the cooks and was welcomed in to take a tour, well of course she went right in! I just can't say enough about how awesome the staff is there! We had heard the food was not your average "wedding food", well I can confirm that! We went to the wedding tasting in March and that itself was a blast! We got to taste everything from, appetizers, soup, salad, main course and dessert. They had fun games, music and local vendors.. I think this was the night I became overly excited about having our wedding here..everything was perfect! We chose the Chicken Pomme' and the Beef Tenderloin and we are still hearing rave reviews about both.. so delicious! The day of our wedding was flawless..I just can't say enough about the Black Swan, it was everything we hoped for and more! Even though Caryl was working with multiple brides planning there wedding I always felt like I was the only one.. she even answered e-mails from me on her days off! My pictures are the most amazing pictures, the golf course is beautiful..almost looks like we were copied and pasted in! If I had to do my wedding over, which I so wish I could just re-live the day because it was amazing..I would 100% go to the Black Swan again..I highly recommend them if you want the wedding of your dreams! Thank You again to the Black Swan for going above and beyond our expectations.. Thank You to Caryl for EVERYTHING.. I always felt like you were just as excited for our wedding as we were.. you are the best..I can't thank you enough!

When we first were looking for venues for our reception, I thought there was no way that we could afford a country club. Then we found the Black Swan. I cannot say enough about Donna and the staff there. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. We were able to taste test the main dishes and were extremely impressed (the food was so good that on our wedding night I made sure my husband and I actually ate! It was delicious!). Donna also was able to recommend many great vendors for dj services, cakes, photography, and videography. Throughout the process, Donna was there to answer all our questions, send photos (we were out of state) and give input on our ideas. She genuinely cared about our day and did everything humanly possible to make sure that our vision was captured and our day perfect. The rooms at the Black Swan are classic and beautiful even before additional decorations. We were in the Essex room, which was the right size for our 100 person wedding (even though it would have also been great if we had more). The day of our wedding, Donna made sure that everything in the room was set up and organized to perfection while also coordinating with the kitchen, DJ, videographer and photographer to assure the food was hot, the timing of introductions and dancing was just right, and that all the big moments were all caught on film. On top of all of that, my handmade centerpieces were set up for us on every table and all our little touches placed in their appropriate spots. The guests raved (and are still raving) about the food and the atmosphere. Overall, Black Swan was a great venue and a great value, and Donna was incredible. I fully recommend Donna and the Black Swan to anyone who wants to get married in the Boston area!

We planned our wedding in 1 1/2 months and Black Swan Country Club was great! We wanted an elegant wedding for a great price and this is what we got. After reviewing 5 different venues plus just a catering cost we realized the Black Swan Country Club had the best price for the best overall service. They helped with every step of the planning processes and ensured we got exactly what we were looking for at the price we wanted to spend. The food was great, not a single complaint from anyone and the room was gorgeous. I gave them our centerpieces and a simple idea of what I wanted and they created something even more beautiful then I ever would have thought. I know two engaged couples and I have already told them to check out this venue. Also if we are ever to have another party we will certainly go back. Not a single thing went wrong that night and that is all thanks to the wonderful staff they have working for them. Thanks for everything!

Where to begin? I had the most phenomenal experience with Black Swan Country Club. Is there anything I would change or do differently, ABSOLUTELY NOT! The staff is excellent, very professional and excited to work with you. I primarily worked with Caryl and she went above and beyond for us. I would randomly send her about a hundred questions a week and she would write back right away with a very cheerful and upbeat tone. I could tell that she was excited to work with me and was striving to make this the most memorable day of our lives. I am so grateful to her for making this so special for us!! The venue was absolutley gorgeous. My bridesmaids and I got ready in the bridal suite, which was nice and air conditioned on a hot summer day. They gave us ice water and refreshments while we finished getting ready. Then the photographer came and the large picture window made for some great photos. We had our ceremony at the outdoor ceremony location and the pictures turned out to be truly beautiful. The grounds are a perfect backdrop for pictures too. I have to admit I was a little nervous about driving from the bridal suite over to the ceremony site in a golf cart. I was worried that people would see me and I would lose the illusion of walking down the aisle and having my guests see me for the first time, but as soon as we headed over all my worries faded away. The groom stood behind a fenced area until I made it over and no one even noticed that I was traveling over by the golf cart, they were all facing forward. The reception hall was gorgeous. Before the ceremony, I walked down into the hall and they completely blew away my expectations. The room was decorated with such elegance and romance, I couldn't wait for the night to start. It was such a nice treat to see the sun setting through the wall to wall windows as we ate dinner and danced. The food was delicious. It has been 3 weeks and people are still commenting on how great the food was. Honestly (and obviously) I have nothing bad to say about the Black Swan Country Club. It was a memory of a lifetime and I couldn't imagine having it anywhere else. I highly recommend future brides to look into the Black Swan Country Club for the weddings and/or receptions. You will not be disappointed and you will be on cloud 9 for weeks like me!!

Everything was great! We loved how quickly and magically the room turned from a ceremony site to a reception site without our guests even realizing how it happened. Our guests raved about the food. The dance floor is a good size and gave everyone space to dance and welcomed everyone onto the dance floor. The help and professionalism that came from Donna was excellent. We would recommend this venue to future couples!

Best decision I ever made was going with The Black Swan Country Club. The event coordinator, Caryl Nansel, was a complete angel and I would reccommend her to anyone! I think she was more excited about my wedding than we were... If I could have her mother my children, I would!

We had our wedding ceremony and our reception at Black Swan Country Club in June 2011. Our experience was beyond amazing and exceeded anything I could have ever imagined. The grounds are immaculate and GORGEOUS. The ballroom will take your breath away. I am still hearing from my 200plus guests that the food was better than any restaurant they had been too lately. I could not have asked for anything more, they were flexible, helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. I would recommend any bride choose this location as you will not be disappointed.

Our top criteria for the venue were many windows, high ceilings, an above average sized dance floor for under $100/head inclusive of all taxes, fees, and gratuity. The Essex Room at the Black Swan was one of the venues to meet all these these criteria. The bonus was that the food turned out to be better than expected for a large event (~200 guests). We had Chicken Marsala, Lobster-stuffed sole, and Filet Mignon with stuffed shrimp. The sole and filet are both excellent choices. They kept the steak at a true medium rare! We found their staff to be extremely experienced and organized. One thing to note is that there are 2 function rooms (Essex Room & Andover Room) that are on opposite wings of the building that share a bathroom. Noise and traffic were concerns but didn't turn out to be an issue at all. We don't remember hearing any noise from the other wedding at all. Each room has its stairway, so traffic didn't seem to be an issue either. The Black Swan has only 1 set of Chivari chairs, so if you are the first event to book for the day, then you get first dibs on them at no extra cost. Also, the Essex Room uses 60" round tables while the Andover Room uses 72" round tables, which may be helpful to know in advance. We did our ceremony in Arlington (near Boston) and thought the distance to the reception would have been an issue, but it seemed like everyone was able to get there just fine! We called about 50 different venue sites and visited about 15 (including hotels, country clubs, function halls, estates/mansions) and after comparing what each place had to offer, the Black Swan delivered amazing value. If the location works for you and your guests, we would definitely recommend checking out the Black Swan. For folks comparing to venues in Boston, doing your reception at the Black Swan will save you about 40-50% in costs for the same reception at any hotel in Cambridge/Boston. Our rating of 5.0/5.0 is a true reflection of what we experienced. We tried to find a reason to give them a 4.5 on one of the categories to make the rating more realistic, but honestly we couldn't find any reason to give them any less than a 5.0/5.0.

We couldn't have been happier with the Black Swan! The space itself is gorgeous and the golf course had some amazing locations for photos. The food was great the prices were definitely reasonable. We loved working with Caryl and Donna - they made the process so easy for us. Just a great overall experience!

Tiffani is the best wedding coordinator out there! Not only is this venue amazing but the food was hot, fresh, and excellent. This venue covered everything and made my day go so smoothly. They are organized, professional, clean, and elegant.

We got married on April 30, 2100. We decide to go and check out the venue on a Thursday night after 6. We were pleasantly surprised that Alan was there and gave us a tour! We fell in love with the place and booked it! Caryl and the whole staff was so helpful throughout the whole process. We ended up using Peter from Nu Image who Caryl highly recommended and he was amazing! Caryl really knows what she is doing so listen to her! I would defiantly recommend this venue.our wedding was a blast and really was more than we could have asked for.

The Black Swan was very easy to plan my wedding reception with. The prices were amazing and I got nothing but compliments about the beauty of the venue and how amazing the food really was.

We never envisioned that that day and everything leading up to it could go so perfect! Caryl & her team at The Black Swan are the reason that everything went as smooth as it did, from planning to exaction, it was flawless!!! Chris Willis
